The Apple ColorSync™ system helps to ensure that all of your applications handle grayscale and color information in a similar manner. Your HP Scanning software can create calibration information for ColorSync which may be more precise than the standard defaults.

You may choose to have the HP Scanning software help you calibrate your screen, or you may use the current system defaults set in the ColorSync control panel.
